Voice file player, the unavoidable integral part of medical transcription! How many choices do you have in that? Well, this week, I tried to do some research on the available freewares on the internet. In the early days of my transcription career when I started with CBay Systems, I was working with Medipro, a voice file player designed exclusively for CBay Systems (not available for public download). Out of CBay, I have also worked with the voice file players Trans-Aid and Trans-Assist for which I couldn’t find a reliable download source or any information on the internet. Currently, I’m using the paid version of Start Stop Universal Transcription System, available for $99, which is configurable with game port (15 pins), serial port (9 pins), USB, COM port, single pedal, dual pedal or three pedal assembly foot pedals. It can play audio file formats like .wav, .dss, .vox, .aud, gsm, mp3 etc., and it is fully configurable to automatically load the audio files on the player. While I’m perfectly satisfied with its performance and using it for the past six years for my home transcription purposes, I thought to do some research for free voice file player downloads on the Internet, free audio file players for transcription that can be used as an alternative for this paid version, and I could find a few of them. Here are the free voice file player downloads compatible with all foot pedals for your perusal:
Express Scribe
Express Scribe is the most popular free audio player software available on the internet for PC, Mac or Linux designed to assist the transcription of audio recordings. I think Express Scribe has almost all the functions available with that of Start Stop Universal Transcription System and can be used without any restrictions.
Crack the sims 4 launcher exe download. The features of Express Scribe include:
- Variable speed playback.
- Supports many professional foot pedals which connect to the game, serial or USB port to control playback.
- Works with Microsoft Word and all major word-processor applications. Playback can be controlled with keyboard also when using other softwares like MS Word.
- Automatically receives and loads files by internet (FTP), email or over a local computer network.
- Automatically sends typing to the person who dictated the work.
- Works with speech recognition software such as Dragon Naturally Speaking to automatically convert speech to text.
- Loads audio directly – start to work as it loads in the background.
- Can switch to ‘mini’ mode to reduce screen space.
- Works on Windows 98, ME, XP 2000/2003/Vista/2008 and Windows 7 and Mac OS X – 10.1 or above and Linux
- Ability to play almost all audio file formats (including encrypted dictation files) including wav, mp3, au, aif, vox, dct (encrypted dictation), Windows Media, VoiceIt (sri), RealAudio (ra and rm), Olympus, Lanier & Grundig (dss), Sony Recorder formats (msv, dvf), Philips Digital Recorder format, Sanyo Digital Recorder format, DSP TrueSpeech, mp2, etc.
If this is the free voice player that you have been looking for, go and grab it from ExpressScribe Download location.
F4 Transcriptions Software
F4 is a free transcription software which can be run from any computer, PC or Mac, Linux or Windows which can read audio files wma, ogg, wav, aif. However, it is compatible with single pedal footswitch only. Get more details and download link of F4 from audiotranskription.de
Update: Aaliyah are you that somebody free. The software author, Thorsten, has reported that F4 is compatible with three foot pedals. Please see the comment below.
Olympus DSS Player Lite
Olympus DSS Player Lite is capable of reading files DSS/WAV/WMA/VA. Kmplayer mac os x free download. You can download it from here.
And now a audio file player that works only with only mouse control….
Source Forge’s Transcriber
Transcriber allows you to play the audio file using mouse-activated controls that look like a cassette or CD player. You play a section, pause, then type what you have heard. Further, you can link the text to the audio file, i.e., when you highlight a line, the audio of the line plays audibly. I think it will be tedious to work on this; however, if your foot pedal is not working, you may try this player just for transcribing a couple of files until the foot pedal is fixed. Get further details and download link from Source Forge.
JoyScribe
Another good transcription audio player software that I have worked with is ESPI JoyScribe which comes bundled with some foot pedals for which I couldn’t find an authorized site available for download, either paid version or free download. However, I was able to find a couple of unauthorized download links of Joy Scribe, find one here.
The FTW Transcriber
The FTW Transcriber is another transcription voice player software with the usual features and some more additional features. It is completely FREE download for individuals (non-corporate users)! The features are not limited to but include:
- Automatic adding of time-stamps and frames – huge time-saver! (optional)
- Supports and plays a wide range of file types (including dss/ds2)
- Timestamp formatting – add them in the format of your choice
- Start timestamps from any timecode, not just 00:00:00
- Hotkeys for common transcription phrases like “overtalking” or “unclear”
- Plays files either on your local drive or on remote servers without downloading first!
- Can be used with hotkeys or pedals

In anticipation for the upcoming Call of Duty WW2 release, we thought it would be exciting to look back at the 10 best Call of Duty maps ever.
We’ll start from the 10th best map and then work our way down to what we think could be one of the most iconic maps in Call of Duty ever.
#10 – Dome (Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3)
Dome is a small map for COD MW3 that takes place in an abandoned NATO military outpost. The environment is set in the Middle East and the map almost entirely focuses on close quarter combat.
https://ameblo.jp/bensfapeno1986/entry-12634669463.html. It was one of the best maps for players looking for a quick jump into some action.
#9 – Favela (Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2)
Favela is a moderately sized map that originally launched on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. It later got a re-release on COD Ghosts. This map is based on the slums of Rio de Janeiro. The gameplay focuses on a number of multi-tiered buildings.
It was one of the first maps that managed to perfect the kind of multi-level combat that became popular in maps from Advanced Warfare and Infinite Warfare.
#8 – Estate (Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2)
Estate is another medium-sized map that got its debut on COD Modern Warfare 2. This map was set in the woodlands of the Georgian-Russian border.
Whilst there was a lot of open space in the wooded area, a lot of the gameplay would be based on the main house that could be found at the top of a hill. If your team could hold the house, you often had a good chance at winning the game.
#7 – Pipeline (Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare)
Pipeline is a large map designed for Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. The game is set in an abandoned pipeline complex in Ukraine.
Thrasher skate and destroy font. The map managed to perfectly blend close ranged and long ranged combat. Players could choose to stick to the buildings for long ranged battles or visit the underground tunnels for more fast-paced close quarters action.
#6 – Crash (Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare)
If you wanted action, Crash was often the map you’d look for in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. It’s a reasonably sized map, but nearly all of the action takes place in the center of the map surrounding a crashed helicopter.
There are so many narrow corridors and blind spots in Crash, which often lead to people heavily camping spots, but if you had fast reflexes, you could often run through the map tearing down players that just couldn’t as fast as you could.
#5 – Overgrown (Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare)
#5 – Overgrown (Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare)
Overgrown was one of the largest maps for Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Based on a farmland in Ukraine, players were able to use vegetation and hay bales as cover.
Because of the vast open terrain, Overgrown was one of the best maps in COD 4 for those looking to use snipers. If you stuck to the few buildings in Overgrown, you could often stick to using close quarter combat weapons instead.
#4 – Hijacked (Call of Duty: Black Ops 2)
Hijacked is without a doubt one of the most iconic maps in Call of Duty history. It’s arguably one of the best maps ever, but there are a few maps that deserve a spot ahead of Hijacked.
Joyscribe Software Reviews
This map took place on a luxury yacht in international waters near France. The map was designed perfectly for intense fast-paced close quarters action. However, because of the two lanes either side of the yacht, there was some room for sniping too.

Hijacked received a remake on Call of Duty: Black Ops 3. The map was mostly the same, although it was based on a security VTOL (vertical takeoff and landing) aircraft that hovered above Zurich in a fictional future in 2065.

#3 – Standoff (Call of Duty: Black Ops 2)
IMAGE: [best call of duty maps ever standoff]
Based on a small town on the China and Kyrgyzstan border, Standoff offered a lot of opportunities for players, despite being quite a small map. It was, without a doubt, one of the most played maps in Call of Duty Black Ops, and was a good choice for Search and Destroy.
Standoff was perfectly split off into numerous sections – you could often stay in one of these sections and do well, or make a move across all areas of the maps and pick off enemies along the way.
#2 – Nuketown (Call of Duty: Black Ops)
Everybody loves Nuketown. Released in Call of Duty: Black Ops, Nuketown quickly became one of the most loved maps in the entire franchise.
Its close quarters combat offered some great gameplay, but it was the overall symmetric shape of the map that gave players a lot of room for some incredible close ranged sniping battles.
https://truejload447.weebly.com/virtual-dj-742-crack-mac.html. Since its inception on Call of Duty: Black Ops, Nuketown has had remakes for every other Black Ops game. It has also had a zombies version for Black Ops 2. Nukehouse was also developed as a smaller version for Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified on the PS Vita.
#1 – Rust (Modern Warfare 2)
Rust. What can we say? Rust was the place where arguments were settled. It was the perfect 1v1 map. If could win 1v1s in Rust back in the day, you were considered a god amongst men.
Rust was a very small map that offered some fairly intense close quarters action, but the open spaces between cover made it an exciting experience for players brave enough to use snipers in such a small area.
One of the most exciting things about Rust was getting some of the higher tiered kill streaks and wreaking havoc on other players. A well-timed AC130 or Stealth Bomber could often wipe out the entire enemy team on Rust.
Summary
Would you change this list in any way? If you would make changes to it, which maps would you move and which would you replace for other Call of Duty maps?
